Staying awake all night for twelve hours may seem daunting, but in a few simple steps you will be prepared for the most memorable night of the year.
1. What to pack
We allow drawstring bags only at our event - any other bags with zippers may not enter the event. These bags will be kept in our bag check area with adult and student volunteers that are constantly monitoring them, and students may get items from their bag when needed.
We recommend packing:
- WATER BOTTLE
- Sweatshirt
- Deodorant
- Charger
- Toothbrush/toothpaste
- Glasses/contacts
Feel free to bring whatever else you think will get you through the 12 hours. An official night-of survival guide will released around 1-2 weeks before our event, and can be found in committee GroupMe's, on our social media (ig: @cvminithon, facebook: CV Mini-THON), and will be emailed to everyone registered for our event.
2. What to wear
The lower level can get very hot with a large number of people that often interact very closely to one another. To ensure your comfort, we recommend that you wear a t-shirt, athletic shorts, deodorant, and comfortable sneakers.
3. Before you come
We recommend that everyone takes a nap before they come to the event in order to ensure that they feel energized for the entire duration of our 12 hour event - we want everyone to enjoy the night of Mini-THON as much as possible, and a good rest level can contribute significantly to this. Also, make sure you eat a good meal beforehand, as dinner will not be served until 11 PM.
